Commissioned by the Moody Center of the Arts, this short work for string quartet responds to Ghanaian artist Odili Odita's 2022 installation that brought vibrant colors into the spaces of Alice Pratt Brown Hall. Brimming with vitality and energy, Vibrant Reflections represents my sonic interpretation of Odita's artwork. The geometric and symmetrical elements, combined with the dynamic color palette in Odita's creation, served as the wellspring of inspiration for the music. This piece serves as a powerful reminder of the harmonious interplay between visual and sonic arts, a resonance that continues to breathe life into this work.
